Let the girls power your iPod

Girls and electronics... Here's a useful object coming handy next summer at your local 'baggersee'. A Bikini equipped with photovoltaic pannels and a USB plug. She won't avoid any tanlines, that's for shure, but your electronic gadgetery will run all day long. Hold up though, you don't want to get wet in this one.

Pong Watch - DIY (!)
This one's incredible!
John Maushammer has built a selfmade PONG-Watch. I should work on something going in that direction as well. We've got a 3D milling cutter and a workshop for plastics at University. I was thinking about a binary watch but that's probably a bit boring since these watches are quite well known though they don't work binary. And soldering a selfmade SMD-LED Matrix looks good on the one hand but could be extremely tricky to solder.
I haven't thought about using these little screens in a wrist-watchy way yet. OLEDs (in case it is an OLED) are perfect for a use like that and they're compareably cheap. Let's see. I'll crack my old Sony Eriksson mobile open this week, maybe that one has a use.
That Pong watch looks so tempting… OLEDs here I come!

Wii Remote hacked for DJ performance
Hmm. There are lots of reports on progressions on nintendo's wiimote spread all over the net. This video shows its usage as a controller used live during a DJ-set and it looks quite nice at first glance. Finally people are able to walk around during performance, occasionally pushing some buttons but mainly waving their hand in every possible direction - elegant.

JIT - Just In Time

Hmmm. No Time? Too much projects? Time for a second study? Recently I had no time to digg deeper in screen applications as e.g. the Pong Watch.
Martin Frey former UDK graduate developed the JIT Watch (video). A concept outlining a possiblity to keep up with your appointments and stay in time by tracking position and time left. Unfortunately the website isn't very precise on describing technological workings of JIT but hey, I wouldn't give such a concept away for free neither.

Helsinki on Dashboard at 2 a.m.

Boy, I wish I'd be back in Helsinki sometimes. I actually lived not far away from that spot you…errr… see there: the city harbour.
I use Slothcam to spot webcams via Dashboard. Unfortunately most webcams in Helsinki shut down recently.

Solve a Rubick's Cube
I'ma get a Cube right away…
Other solutions available here and here.
Edit:
Actually this site was the only useable site I could find to solve the cube and it will take you less than an hour. The colours of the cube are editable (to match it to your own cube) and all important moves are shown with an animation. German language, java script enabled
