I'm still alive.
Just to make sure.
I'm currently working at this film production as a costume design intern which was a very spontanious thing. Because of that I have barely a free minute, and if I have one I'm not spending it infront of my computer.
But I keep reading offline fashion news and make notes about interessting things. At the end I will have a long list with small articles.
I'll try my best.
By the way: The new "Zoo" magazine is awesome. Get it! With Carl Barat on the cover.

Back On The Track.
Finally we finished work last week after 2 last extra days. Seven exhausting weeks are over. We often complained about the conditions and a lot of other stuff but in the end everyone was sad to say good bye. We partied hard and danced our pantalonies off, as Jamie would say.
Now I'm home at my parents, relaxing and reading. I try to keep up with all the fashion stuff I missed during the past weeks.

Wardrobe Projects: Skeletons in the Closet
During some researches on other topics I came across more and more so-called wardrobe projects. For a longer time now I'm also actually thinking of doing something similar. So here a list with some good examples.
#1: Swedish artist Johanni Öst's wardrobe project. She has a pretty nice explanation for doing it: I have lots of clothes I never wear, so I thought I'd make a project of using them. I will go through my wardrobe one garment a day, build a great outfit around it, and take a photo. When I'm finished I'll have a bunch of photos to look at whenever I feel I have nothing to wear. She also has sets on toys and 60s girl calenders.
#2: Karin Öst (Swedish, too) takes a photo nearly every day. Her outfit set contains more than 80 pics. I like her style. She has also sets on self-sewn clothes, fabrics and patterns.
#3: Jek: Personally, I don't like her style that much. But I love her sets. She's creating so many lovely things as toys, felt stuff and a lot of other crafty stuff.
At Flickr there's actually a whole group on this wardrobe thing called "wardrobe remix". It was created by Tricia Royal. And that's her intention in doing so: i believe the best stylists walk the streets, not the photo sets, nor the backstage of the runways. the real innovators are you and me: real, fashionable people, men and women alike. [...] the idea is to see the trends in your own way of styling, what you love best, and how you are seen by others in your everyday duds. it is NOT about rating others or flaming people for their own personal style decisions or looks.

Proof of Life
It's been a while. I know. I'm still busy working at that movie. It seems like a never-ending story. But I'm collecting a lot of costume design related information I will tell you in a while.
Ein Jahr und nix.
Was ist nur passiert... Nun ist es schon über ein Jahr her, dass ich was geschrieben habe. Schlimm.
What happened? It's been more than a year that I wrote sth. How bad! I'm so ashamed. How could it go so far? It's such a shame! I promise to do better. But I'm totally out of practice. It's so hard for me to form phrases that don't sound totally hillbilly. I have to improve!
Cause I have so much to tell. I experienced so many things during the last months, seen the world - har har har! But London - all that I see there, all the impressions. Some is crazy, some is admirable.
I vow to do better!
