Die Gerüchte halten sich jetzt schon wieder so lang, dass ich auch mal was dazu schreiben muss.



Diesen Dienstag war wieder einer der Veranstaltungen, bei denen neue Apple-Produkte vorgestellt wurden. Für einen neuen iPod hats wohl nicht gereicht, stattdessen nur für die enttäuschenden Ghettoblaster und die extrem (!) teuren Ledertaschen. Bescheuertes Zeug. Passt wunderbar in die Reihe der strangest iPod Accessories.

Jetzt stellt sich aber heraus, dass wie so oft alle Bilder, die in der letzten Zeit kursierten, Fakes sind. Oder ist doch das Fake ein Fake?

Wieder eine der Geschichten, bei denen man sich fragt, ob die ganzen Photoshopper nichts besseres zu tun haben.

Die Leute können's echt nicht abwarten: kaum sind die Dinger draussen, müssen sie sie schon auseinander nehmen. Wie lange dauerts wohl noch, bis wir die ersten Videos sehen, in denen das nagelneue MacBook zerschmettert wird. Tsts!

Mein Akku verstarb dieses Nachmittags.
Gestern hielt er noch 3 Stunden durch.
Das Ladekabel wechselte zwischen Rot und Grün.
Heute war er dann plötzlich regungslos.
Seine Lämpchen reagierten nicht einmal mehr.
Es klafft ein Loch in meinem Rechner.

Zum Glück gibt es dies hier.

Weihnachten steht ja an, ne?
Und Weichnachten gibt's ja auch das sogenannte Weihnachtsgeschäft, ne?
Diese Weihnachten möcht mir deshalb was schönes von Apple besorgen, weiss allerdings nicht welche Kombination aus meinen Traumkonfigurationen jetzt taktisch klüger ist. Es konzentriert sich allerdings vorerst auf nen iMac mit Wumms hinter und um abzuschätzen wie, such ich schon seit Ewigkeiten ne Seite im Netz, die über die letzten Hardwareupdates mit Speedbumps, Zeittabelle (mit für jedes bisherige Model eingetragenen Neuerungen etc.), erwarteten Updates und kleinem Bericht über evtl. Probleme etc. bereithält.

Weiss da jemand bescheid?

Shame on me, none of my top 3 rumors is true. Steve Jobs surprised us again: no new iBook (although it is way overdue), no Mac Mini Media Center. But A NEW POWERBOOK MacBook Pro (the new name that stands for the Macintel era).



The design is almost the same like the latest aluminium ones, but the specs are really promising: faster, thinner, brighter, lighter etc. The CPU: a Intel Core Duo with 1,67/1,83 GHz, that is up to 5 times faster than the 1,67 GHz G4. Secondly: the new iMac.



The Design hasn't changed neither, but it has the Core Duo as well, which seems to be three times faster like the latest G5 processor in the iMac. The specs are on Apple's Webpage.

In other words (and that applies for iMac and Powerbook): G4 and G5 Macs are slow! Today we can finally admit.

What's coming up next? The MacBook as a replacement for the iBook? Won't last too long...

PS: This guy seems to have some good sources at Apple. All of the guesses he posted on his weblog became true!

Es ist soweit.

In the third issue of Forrester Magazine Harris Collingwood, a researcher at Forrester, writes about Apple and five reasons for their coolness. Quiet interesting and kind of guideline for everybody who wants to be cool.

Here are the first four:

1. Great Products
No doubt: the products by Apple are great. Some products (as the Cube or the Newton) are even too great. But for the public image these products prove: Apple always works hard, just to get the best.

2. Decide on your Story, then stick to it
Since the »1984« ad, Apple consistently has claimed to be different from the other impersonal computer companies. Repetition pays. Apple's story has firmly established itself in the minds of the press. Say what you are. Stick to it, again and again.

3. Choose your friends well
Apple always did a good job in choosing »friends«. For example Bono saying the iPod is »the most beautiful object art in the music since the Electric Guitar«. Or Carrie in »Sex & the City« who constantly uses her Powerbook for writing her column.

4. Choose your enemies better
Apple's 2,5 percent market share looks less like a sign of weakness and more like an emblem of virtue. It has always been persistent against the big enemies, first IBM in the 80s and Microsoft in the 90s.

1. iBook 13,3'' widescreen
The iBooks have been updated in July 2005, so they have to get an update very soon. Hopefully it's time for the first Intel-based Apple Computer.

2. Intel powered Mac Mini with Frontrow
Would be very nice for the livingroom. The best would be a combination of the Mac Media Center with new Cinema Display.

3. 42'' and 50'' Cinema Displays
Have you ever seen the 30'' Cinema Display? And now imagine: 50 f***ing inches. I'm completlely sure, I will never have enough money to own one, but the imagination is already enough to begin drooling.



One more thing? iLife '06, iPod G5, Airport Express video streaming... We will see.

Unfortunally there won't be a live coverage as Quicktime stream, but I recommend Engadget or Macrumors who both gonna have excellent text coverages.

Das Patentamt hat gestern einen Patentantrag von Apple auf ein "Multifunktionales tragbares Gerät". MacNN sieht darin den neuen iPod in Verbindung mit dem Sagenumwogenen iPhone.
Dieses Gerät soll nur wenige Bedienelemte besitzen so das besonders viel Platz für ein großer Bildschirm ist. Dieser soll in seiner Anzeige der Touchscreen-Bedienelemte je nach ausgewählter Funktion dem Musikabspielers, eines Handtop-Minicomputers, eines Telefons und eines PDAs.
Das Gerät soll wohl am 12. das erste mal der Presse vorgestellt werden.

Heute Nacht hat Apple 3 neue Werbespots Released in denen es um den "Magsafe, Spyware und die Frustration des PC´s´bei allem was nicht Arbeit ist."

Klingt alles schonmal sehr lustig, vor allem wenn ich mir den PC wegen der Spyware getarnt vorstelle.

Wenn man Justin Long, "dem Mac" glauben schenken darf dann erscheinen bald weitere 20 Clips in diesem Format.
Also ich freu mich drauf.
